Referendum Council

Video content and infographics for the Referendum Council – an organisation set up by the Australian Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition to educate the Australian public on the sensitive topic of recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Australian Constitution, and other ways to ensure the quality of life for indigenous Australians rises to acceptable standards.

Referendum Council

Objective: The Australian government is considering a referendum to recognise the First Australians in the Constitution. We need to educate Australians on what a referendum is, what effect any changes will have and gauge public perception by monitoring comments on social media.

Outcome: We developed a plethora of social media graphics and videos. I’ve hand-picked the coolest ones to share below.

Channels: Website (referendumcouncil.org.au) and promoted social media (facebook.com/referendum.council).
